MEGHAN MARKLE, the Duchess of Sussex, could face backlash with one particular move concerning Beyonce, warned royal commentator Justin Sylvester.
Buckingham Palace confirmed this week the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join the likes of Beyonce in Leicester Square in support of the live-action remake of Disney’s The Lion King. However, royal commentator Justin Sylvester warned Meghan Markle could face backlash if she decides to pose for a photograph with Beyonce. Speaking on E! News, Mr Sylvester said: “I just think she’s doomed, like she’s damned if she does and she’s damned if she doesn’t.
“If she takes a photo with Beyonce everyone’s going to say ‘she’s so Hollywood, this is not what Royals do’.
“If she doesn’t take the photo with Beyonce everyone is going to say ‘she snubbed her, she’s too good for her’.”
Broadcaster Melanie Bromley predicted: “Of course we will see a picture of them together, absolutely we will.”
She added: “They’re not going to pose on the red carpet together, it’s going to be inside the auditorium.”
The palace said that newborn baby Archie would not be joining his parents at the event, which is being held in support of the conservation and communities work of Prince Harry.
Beyonce, who is tipped for an Oscar for her Lion King song Spirit, is understood to be attending the London premiere on Sunday.
The news comes after Beyonce paid tribute to the Duchess of Sussex when she won a Brit Award in February.
As she and Jay Z couldn’t accept the award in person, the Carters sent a video acceptance speech of them recreating their Apes*** music video.
But instead of posing out with the Mona Lisa painting in the Louvre museum in Paris, the couple replaced the Leonardo da Vinci artwork with a stunning painting of Meghan Markle herself.
Meghan’s make-up artist Daniel Martin said the duchess had seen the painting and sent him big eye emojis in response.
After accepting the award, Beyonce revealed that they had chosen to honour Meghan for Black History Month.
