I’d think I were Satan too’: Teddy Sinclair, aka Natalia Kills, finally addresses that vicious X Factor NZ rant

It was the reality TV moment that had us all looking towards New Zealand, gawping and wondering how someone had out-nastied Simon Cowell.

Natalia Kills became public enemy number one in 2015 when she unleashed a bizarre and vicious rant at a contestant on The X Factor NZ, accusing him of copying her husband.

The Bradford-born singer told Joe Irvine that he made her ‘sick’, called him a ‘laughing stock’, and said she was ‘ashamed’ to be there.

The incident saw the popstar and her husband Willy Moon sacked from The X Factor panel, with Natalia basically going into hiding for a bit and reemerging under the name Teddy Sinclair.

Now, Teddy – her legal name – is finally addressing the scandal that seemingly ended her career three years ago, although legally, she can’t confirm whether it was real or fake.

Speaking to Paper magazine, the 32-year-old said:‘All I can say is that I can’t talk about X Factor itself. I can say that I’d never support anything like what I did on TV.

‘If I were someone else watching me, I’d think I were Satan, too. I’m not a victim here because I was there. I did that. On television.’

To recap, here’s what Teddy, then Natalia, said to Joe: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, I’m just going to state the obvious – we have a doppelganger in our midst. As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you have copied my husband. From the hair to the suit – do you not have any value or respect for originality?

‘You’re a laughing stock, it’s cheesy, it’s disgusting. I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious. I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence, having to even dignify you with an answer of my opinion. ‘It’s disgusting. You make me sick. You have no identity. I can’t stand it. I’m ashamed to be here.’

Her husband Willy then chimed in: ‘It just feels a little bit cheap and absurd. It’s like Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing. It’s just a little bit creepy, I feel like you’re going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and kill everyone in the audience.’

The fierce backlash following the incident saw Teddy receive vile death threats, as well as horrific racist remarks on the internet – something she says was worse than the scandal itself.

She said: ‘The thing that felt sad at the time, was sometimes there’s a voice in my head… it felt like sometimes you wake up screaming on the inside like, if I just told the truth, everyone would know and these 20,000 death threats would go away. And not just death threats for me, but for my family as well.’

‘Old Town Road’ rapper Lil Nas X faces down homophobic comments after coming out

Lil Nas X is laughing off homophobic comments after the viral “Old Town Road” rapper came out as gay because … Can’t nobody tell me nothing.

The Atlanta musician, 20, closed out Pride Month by revealing his sexual orientation through song lyrics. He tweeted Monday, “just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m not straight.”

While many fans and artists embraced Lil Nas X for publicly embracing his authentic self, others turned his announcement into a cruel punchline with nasty comments.

Lil Nas X

Some trolls suggested that the chorus to his hit viral country-rap hit was alluding to his sexual preference, leading Lil Nas X to tweet: “old town road is literally about horses.”

The homophobic comments didn’t stop there.

On an Instagram post meant to celebrate his song’s historic run on the Billboard charts, Lil Nas X received comments bashing his identity, ranging from “Can you not be gay” to “He’s gay I’m no longer listening to this (expletive)” to “U still gay tho.”

The rapper made light of the remarks. “Just got news that i’m gay and i will no longer be streaming my music. i’m sorry that (expletive) is just not ok,” he sarcastically tweeted Tuesday.

But, it appears the harassment started to weigh on Lil Nas X. He shared an Instagram picture of a gun-wielding sad face emoji in a cowboy hat Tuesday. He wrote, “say one more (homophobic) thing to me.”

Despite the trolls, many supporters rallied around him.

“Focus on all the good in your life. Don’t allow these fools get to you. It’s a lot of us out here proud of who and what you represent,” commented the rapper’s father.

Kid Rock Buys a Giant Middle Finger Statue For His Home In Nashville

Kid Rock Middle Finger

It looks like Kid Rock is out here being, well, Kid Rock. The Detroit born musician decided to revamp his home decor and surprise Nashville residents with a gigantic 700-pound middle finger statue. Yes, the rocker, who is known to do crazy stuff like this, decided to stir the pot and be the talk of the town. Which is actually a great way to promote himself, if you ask me.

Why the middle finger statue? Well, Rock is pretty much known for it, it’s even graced one of his CD covers. So yeah, it’s an instant habit for him and what Kid Rock wants Kid Rock gets. The statue actually roots back to November 2018 and was created by Ted Pelkey, a small business owner from Westford Vermont. The idea came to him after he was trying to find the best way to cut down his expenses while keeping his business alive.

He decided he wanted to move from a shop he rents about 25 miles away. His idea was to build a new shop on his own property and work from there. But unfortunately, Westford told him no, so basically Pelkey responded the only way he could.By creating the bird statue.

So, not only did this genius artist built a gigantic seven-foot-tall statue of a hand giving the middle finger, but he mounted it on a 14-foot-tall pole on his property and even installed lights on it so it’s visible at night. Talk about sending a subtle message. The giant middle finger, which he says is for the people who run the town of Westford, has become quite a well-known tourist attraction for those traveling through on Route 128 and has gained national media attention.

This is where Kid Rock and his middle finger obsession comes in. During Christmas, Pelkey said that Kid Rock had left him a message, saying, “Hey Ted, Merry Christmas. It’s Bob Ritchie, Kid Rock.” The southern rockstar then told Pelkey that he liked the statue and had to have a finger on his property in Nashville. So, the Vermont artist quickly began to work on a second middle finger and is now ready to be shipped all the way to Nashville.

The second “Big Bird” is said to be delivered to Kid Rock in May, and we can already see all the pictures going viral. Of course, this is something Kid Rock would do, it’s in his nature. Regular statues are so overrated.

A$AP Rocky is enjoying a Summer Of Love

A$AP Rocky in Tie Dyed Shirt

A$AP Rocky is taking us back to 1967 with his latest style move: incorporating tie-dye into his wardrobe.

Step back to 1967 and you’ll find yourself at the center of the social phenomenon that was the Summer Of Love. Hippy culture hit mainstream media, largely thanks to a planned movement in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco, where student groups gathered and made it the focal point of a counterculture started by beat generation poets and writers such as Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. Awash with bright colours and plenty of tie-die, the hippy era is one of the most recognizable style movements in history.

And self-assured “Fashion Killa” A$AP Rockyis taking us back to that time (and not just through a shared penchant for smoking cannabis). Stepping out for the Loewe Spring/Summer 2021 menswear show at Paris Fashion Week, the American rapper brought an intense splash of colour to the streets of the French capital. While his metallic, sun-reflecting pants were attention grabbing enough, Rocky topped his look with perhaps the best tie-dye long-sleeve T-shirt we’ve seen since the Sixties.

But psychedelia isn’t just stopping with Rocky. Jonah Hill, John Mayer and Pharrell are all repping it. And if you’ve been paying close attention to the men’s shows over the past few seasons ( we hope you have), then you’ll notice that colourful tie-dye has become ever-present on the catwalk. Just take a look at the collections shown last month for Spring/Summer 2020 – MSGM was the real winner here, giving us two-tone ombre tie-dye paired with shorts. And across the board for Spring/Summer 2019 (that’s now) the collections were rife with hallucinatory tie dye. Dries Van Noten presented silky tie-dyed shorts. Liam Hodges gave us plenty. Virgil Abloh’s Off-White saw tie-dye denim (jeans and jackets). And Amiri gave us serious hippy-dippy vibes.

YouTube Celebrity Summerella Is a Social Media Mogul

YouTube celebrity and singer Summerella may seem like a fresh new face to many in the world of music, but she has undoubtedly been laying a footprint for some time now. The week of May 2, 2015, Summerella peaked at No. 24on the Billboard R&B Top 100 chart with her single 11 Something (eventually landing at No. 4) and has recently released her first album, First Day of Summer. With over 2.9 million Instagram followers and 700K YouTube subscribers, the Atlanta native boasts a millennial following on social media that rivals some of the most famous names in entertainment. Today, Summerella is more focused on her music than ever and has more knowledge and insight on using social media to grow personally and professionally.

A playful video on Vine started something bigger than Summerrella could have imagined. “I played a few notes on my keyboard and freestyled the lyrics then all of my supporters better known as my RellaGang begged me to make it a real song.” Although Summerella comes from a musical background and family, she never recorded a song in the studio. “My mom, now manager, Kymberley Boissiere made a call to my cousin who happens to be a music producer. He helped me pull everything together, and I’m still shocked that the first song I ever recorded in a studio, “11 Something,” landed on Billboard’s Top 100 and reached No. 4 on Apple iTunes charts.”

Amid the changing economics of the music industry Summerella has had to navigate interest from major record labels. “So many major labels contacted my team but we turned down all the offers,” says Summerellla.  “I strongly believe artists should remain independent and keep as much of their power and control of their careers as possible. As a young woman, I now look at myself as a woman-owned business and entrepreneur within the industry I created my career in.”

Up until recently, an artist was in more of a vacuum when it came to independently marketing themselves, social media has turned that limitation on its head.

Why Lil’ Kim Canceled All Her Interviews

Lil’ Kim abruptly canceled all of her upcoming interviews — including appearances on “Today,” “Access Hollywood” and “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on Thursday — but media insiders said it was the outlets that pulled out due to restrictions the rapper’s team put on the talks.

Lil’ Kim is currently promoting a VH1 show, “Girls Cruise,” with Chilli, of the group TLC, and Mya.

“I had a bunch of press set up . . . it’s not going to be happening,” Kim snapped in a video online.

She alleged she’d been disrespected.

“One of the reasons it’s not happening is because two of the major outlets wanted to be messy and my publicist and my manager made the executive decision to shut it down,” she said. “At this point, it’s about me. I’m that bitch . . . I refuse to f–king keep doing all these interviews . . . if motherf–kers are not going to respect who I am.”

‘Collide’ singer Howie Day arrested for assaulting ex-girlfriend

“Collide” singer Howie Day was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a Manhattan hotel, authorities said.

Howard K. Day, 34, was charged with assault and arraigned Saturday in Manhattan Criminal Court.

The Seattle-based singer allegedly began arguing with his girlfriend Friday afternoon when he angrily grabbed the woman, threw her around and wrapped his hands around her throat, police said.

“I’m going through Xanax withdrawal, I’m going to pass out,” he apparently told an officer after he being taken into custody, according to prosecutors.

The victim, who sought medical attention after the assault, got an order of protection against Day, who is currently on tour.

Day also faces charges of criminal obstruction of breathing, assault, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Day did not enter a plea and is being held on $500 bail.

Carrie Underwood Claps Back at Fans Who ‘Hate’ Her Sunday Night Football Song ‘Game On’

Carrie Underwood is defending herself and her music.

On Monday, the pregnant country star, 35, clapped back at a fan who expressed dislike over Underwood’s Sunday Night Football theme song, “Game On,” which replaced her previous NFL anthem “Oh Sunday Night” in September.

“I love that NBC has been reading everyone’s Collinsworth slide tweets because it means they’ve also been reading all the tweets about how much we hate the new Carrie Underwood song,” the female fan tweeted on Sunday.

Then, the singer responded with two tweets, the first of which read: “Hey, I know my music isn’t for everyone, but I love what I do and I love being a part of @SNFonNBC! I am one lucky lady! I also love women who build other women up…just saying.”
