‘I Knew He Cheated!’: Fans Claim Monica Brown Hinted at Infidelity in Her Marriage to Shannon in Latest IG Post

Singer Monica Brown apparently raised a few eyebrows with a recent social media share.

Since the announcement of her filing for divorce from former NBA journeyman Shannon Brown a few months ago, social media sought answers as to why the couple decided to call it quits in the first place. Well, after months of prodding, it seems folks may have gotten their answer.

The “Commitment” singer took to Instagram Wednesday with some thoughts about her upcoming album, “Chapter 38,” that may possibly shine light on her and Shannon’s marital woes. In her post, she spoke on significant others blaming their partner’s mistress or lover as the reason their relationship crumbled.

“I have lots of feelings & beliefs that I often keep to myself… I Decided to share them on my album Chapter 38,” Monica wrote along with a photo of herself sitting on the back of a golf cart. “I hate to hear women/men say that whomever their spouse cheated with is the reason you all are apart! In truth it was the choice of your spouse that cheated that’s at fault… It’s your man or woman’s job to respect and honor you !! Am I right or nah? lol #ThatsHowIFeel #Chapter38Conversations.”

“You are “Right” and always keep it 💯,” one fan agreed with the singer. “If they both know they play a part in it as well.”

A second person commented, “Big Facts ⭕️ Nothing But Truthfulness you’re on point Mo 👏.”

Other folks assumed Monica insinuated her estranged husband cheated on her.

“I knew he cheated!! I’m so glad she left him 💯.”

“I’m ready for this album sis. C’mon 😩 she bout to spill all the tea about her husband.”

“I wonder who her husband cheated with? From her live it sound like a friend 🤦.”

Monica reportedly filed for divorce from Shannon in early March after nearly nine years of marriage. She attempted to keep the court record sealed, but the public caught wind of it a few weeks later. It’s unclear as to what caused their split and neither have commented on it.

However, in a recent episode of “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle,” she hinted to their marriage being over for good and said she was more focused on her children. The pair share 5-year-old Laiyah Brown together. She also has two sons, Rocko and Romelo Hill, from her previous relationship with Atlanta rapper Rocko Hill.

On Wednesday, Thorne, 21, revealed on Twitter that the two “are no longer good,” claiming the YouTuber, 21, “broke girl code.”

“I’m over it,” Thorne added.

Mongeau appeared to be clueless as to what exactly Thorne was referring to, as she wrote back, “?????”

“Imagine taking every time ur mad at me to Twitter but then telling ppl how much u care about me…….. wtf is this b :/,” Mongeau tweeted.

Thorne continue the argument alleging that Mongeau “started dating me for Twitter.”

“How about u answer ur phone and talk to me instead of being on Twitter,” Thorne added.

Thorne and Mongeau dated for a little over a year. In February, Thorne announced on Twitter that the pair had split.

“Tana and I aren’t together anymore, pls stop asking. We love U guys,” Thorne shared.

Mongeau also shared the news, writing, “i love her forever don’t get that twisted. she changed my life forever. don’t rly wanna talk on it.”

Mongeau also reassured fans at the time that there was no bad blood between the former couple.

“There’s no negativity at all,” Mongeau tweeted.

Their surprising feud comes less than a month after Thorne wished Mongeau a happy birthday with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

or Mongeau’s 21st on June 24, Thorne shared a photo of herself and the influencer sharing an intimate embrace while on a yacht.
